Tech Prank: My brother sent me a document that "broke" my PC!

Hi everyone,

My younger brother is a bit of a computer geek, and he sent me a file today that looked like a regular PDF but crashed my reader instantly. I finally figured out that he used a tool to corrupt this file just to mess with me while I was trying to finish my work.

I spent an hour checking for viruses before he admitted it was just a prank with a scrambled header. I’m curious, is it really that easy for someone to corrupt this file?
