Why is my grocery bill suddenly so much higher this month?

Hi everyone,

I was looking at my receipts today and realized how quickly the extra 15% adds up on luxury items and household goods. I’ve started using a simple vat calculator on my phone while I shop to see the real price of items before I get to the till.

It’s a great way to stay on budget and avoid that "sticker shock" during the checkout process. My brother thinks I’m being too obsessive, but with the current economy, every cent counts. Do you guys use a manual vat calculator?
